This is senior Margaret Mellott’s third year on the JagWire staff. This year she is co-editor-in-chief of the JagWire. Outside of newspaper, Margaret is involved in girls basketball as a manager. In her free time, Margaret enjoys designing, history and reading. It is Margaret’s hope to put out great web content as well as a phenomenal paper.

Archeology and Artifacts teacher Keil Hileman uses the 100-year-old candelabra he found in an abandoned church in a light demonstration for his class on Thursday, April 21. “I used to get $100 from each high school, and now I get nothing. I used to get free busing, and now there’s going to have to be a course fee,” Hileman said. “But I don’t care and I will make it work. And I have had people tell me ‘if you need something, just call me.’ I’m still doing OK.”

Throughout the year, sophomore Jessie Coleman has been singing and playing music in the Upper C locker bank with her friends before school starts. I think my favorite part about being able to hangout there is being able to hangout with a lot of my friends that I dont have classes with, Coleman said. Were all so busy doing different things, its nice that we get to hangout in one spot in the morning before school.

In the chaos of a regular school day, freshman Analiese Wilhauk finds comfort in being close to her locker during the mornings. [The Upper B locker bank is my favorite place] because its right nest to my locker so I can get things easily, Wilhauk said. Thats also just where people migrate to. So, there are a lot of people to talk to.
