Students participate in Zumba class during seminar

Mill Valley High School participated in National Physical Education and Sport Week. From Tuesday, May 1 to Monday, May 7 the week’s theme was “Let’s Move”. In celebration for the week, the school had student teacher Heather Katz intruct Zumba during seminar on Thurday, May 3.

Physical education teacher Amy McClure thought that the students who were involved did a good job, but she wished that more had come to participate.

“It looked like [the students] had fun, I wish more kids were open to coming though,” McClure said.

Junior Avery Laluk enjoyed his exprience.

“It was a great experience,” Laluk said.”It was a great workout. By the end my calves were burning.”

McClure plans to continue the Zumba and other similar activies next year in a club.

“I want to start the Jag PAC, or Physical Activity Club,” McClure said. “Once a week we would do Zumba on Mondays.”
