New medical building receives approval

The site plan for a new medical office building recently received approval from the Shawnee Planning Commission. The building will be near K-7 and Johnson Drive.

The Shawnee Crossings Medical Building was approved on Monday, Sept. 19 and will be built on an almost two-acre property between 6804 and 6810 Silverheel Street. The application for approval was submitted by AMAI Architecture.

The building will be 11,200 square feet. The report states that the one-story structure will also include a glass tower on the south side of the building in order to match neighboring buildings.
