Everyone attends will be released from school at 12:05 p.m.

Cool School is a segment on KCTV5 airs once every week that spotlights non-athletic clubs that may not necessarily always receives recognition. The school is chosen by an application, and then broadcasts the morning news live from the school. StuCo sponsor Erica Crist said this is a great opportunity for the school to show all it has to offer.

“I’m excited because the whole school community gets to come together and celebrate our accomplishments,” Crist said. “Then we get to showcase to the community our accomplishments, because we have amazing students who participate in many activities.”

Several clubs are being recognized in short segments, but all students will be able to take part in the celebration. Freshman Valerie Nguyen said she is eager because it is something different.

“It’s a new experience,” Nguyen said. “It’s special for our school to win this great opportunity.”
