The Halloween Film Fest is today during seminar in the theater. The cost two dollars at the door.

The Carolers in the musical will meet in the choir room during seminar today.

There will be an important informational meeting Monday, Nov. 5 for any girl interested in trying out for the girls’ basketball team this season. Tryout information will be provided at this time. We will meet during seminar in the senior café.

The school-wide Lip Dub has a few practices left which are mandatory for all clubs, sports, and activities involved. The
next Lip Dub meeting for all who are participating is tomorrow during seminar in the theater.

The first quarter reach party will be held next Tuesday, Nov. 6, during seminar in the commons. Please be aware that you may not take food out of the commons so plan accordingly.

NHS members: math teacher Kristen Chavez would like to remind you that you need to register for the fashion show by tomorrow.

Attention soccer players: uniform check in will be today after school. All uniforms, warm ups & bags need to be washed and dried before turning them in to coach Arlan Vomhof.

Tickets for “A Christmas Carol” are now on sale. See drama teacher Jon Copeland during seminar or before or after school to order your tickets. The show runs Sunday, Nov. 4 through  Saturday, Nov. 10.

Voyager pullouts for tis week are Friday, Nov. 2 during silver two.

Seniors: the scholarship deadline for both Kansas State University and the University of Kansas is Thursday, Nov. 1.

Friday, Nov. 2 is the registration deadline for the December ACT exam. Students can register on-line at actstudent.org.

MVHS will be hosting an ACT Test Prep Class for the Saturday, Dec. 8 ACT exam which will meet on Thursday, Nov. 15,
Thursday, Nov. 29 and Thursday, Dec. 6 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. The cost is $85 and students can sign up for the class in the counseling office through Monday, Nov. 12.

We are offering one final time to obtain a baseline for impact concussion testing. This is available for any athlete of any
sport that wishes to have it completed. Consent forms must be turned in to athletic trainer Clint McAllister in room E103 by the end of this week to be scheduled to take the test Monday after school. Any student that has already turned in their forms will be taking it at 3:30 p.m. in one of the computer labs on Monday, Nov. 5. The exact location will be announced on Monday, Nov 5. Please see McAllister if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the quiz bowl team of senior Chris Gillespie, sophomores Jack Earlenbaugh, Katherine White, Samantha Myers, Madeline Grube, and freshman Jordan Wootton for bringing home the bronze medals last evening from the Washington High tournament. The team did an excellent job, going undefeated all the way to the last championship round.
