Daily announcements for Wednesday, May 8

Attention all track athletes: track times have been changed today. Let your parents know. Field events start at 4 p.m. Finals start at 4:30 p.m. There will be no prelims.

There will be a wrestling meeting during seminar on Thursday, May 9 in main gym.

The talent show is tonight at 7 p.m. in the theater. Admission is $2.

Mud Volleyball is Saturday, May 11 at noon. The cost to play is $5 per person. Pick up a permission form in the office, from StuCo sponsor Erica Crist or at lunch. Please turn in money and forms by Friday, May 10.

Boys tennis players: the banquet is being moved to Tuesday, May 14 after school in the senior café. Please see coaches Eric Ammerman or coach Alyssa Meyer for more information.

Any student that had art work up at the Country Club Bank needs to come see art teacher Jodi Ellis in GL101 to pick up the work this week.

There will be a cross country meeting in the auditorium on Friday, May 10 during seminar.

If you would like to be a StuCo officer for the 2013-2014 school year, see Crist in GL102. All speeches and petitions are due by 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.

The girls golf meeting is now on Wednesday, May 15 during seminar in coach Adam Wessel’s classroom.

The final Voyagers pullout is on Thursday, May 9 during Blue Two.

All students who applied to be in Friends In Learning next year should stop by the counseling office to pick up a letter for their placement status.

Students interested in being a Freshmen Mentor for next year please pick-up an application from the counseling office.

The last Read and Review meeting is this Thursday, May 9 in the media center. Sign up to attend the meeting in the media center. Jennifer Mendez from the Johnson County Library will share pre-published teen novels.

Seniors: all books and materials must be returned to the media center by Friday, May 10. Check for your name on the list on the media center windows. Check out sheets for seniors will be signed starting Monday, May 13.

Drivers’ Ed forms are available in the office and on line. Cost is $200 and classes begin the week of Monday, June 3.

Free Senior Fun Day is on Thursday, May 16 Shawnee Mission Park, Shelter 8, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
