Today all varsity and junior varsity baseball players will need to meet in coach Jeff Strickland’s room at 3:10 p.m. dressed out and ready to practice. All freshman team baseball players will need to meet in the gym at 3:10 p.m. dressed out and ready to practice.

All golfers need to meet in coach Adam Wessel’s room immediately following school.

Last chance: all spring assignments for students wishing to enroll in Pre-AP and AP classes for next year are due today, to the counseling office. The counseling office will be open until 4 p.m. No assignments will be accepted after 4 p.m. today.

UMKC’s Mens choir “Amphion” will be singing in the little theater this Thursday, March 22 during seminar. If you would like to hear them, you must have a ticket from music teacher Sheree Stoppel before coming. Stop by the chior room today or tomorrow to pick up a ticket. You won’t be admitted without a ticket.

Art Club will not meet tomorrow, but we will meet Thursday, March 29. If you have any questions, see art teacher Jerry Howard after school in C118.

There is a mandatory Prom Committee meeting on Friday, March 23 during seminar and after school. Even if you have early release you must be there. If you can not stay after school you must let art teacher Jodi Ellis know.

Students please make sure that you park in regular parking spots. Do not park in handicap, visitor, staff or any area striped for no parking. Those parking illegally will be ticketed.

Ed-tech applications are due in the counseling office today. No late applications will be accepted for consideration.

Cheer tryouts will be held Wednesday, April 11 through Friday, April 13. If you interested in trying out there is a parent and participant meeting on Tuesday, March 27 at 7 p.m. in the media center. For more information please go to cheer website. We are very excited to see you on Wednesday, April 11 and can’t wait for our spirit season to start.

The Silver Stars Dance team will be holding their auditions for next year on Tuesday, April 3 through Friday, April 6. Any interested students can pick up try-out packets in the front office. You can also find them on the Silver Stars website. Make sure to fill out the needed information and return the application, agreement, and teacher recommendations back in to the office no later than Sunday, March 29. Late packets will not be accepted.

Any student interested in taking Pre-AP chemistry needs to complete a spring assignment. They are available in the counseling office.

A few spots remain in the final April ACT prep class offered at for this semester. No test prep class will be offered for the June ACT test date. The course fee is $80 and interested students can sign up and pay for the class in the counseling office.

Please stop by the counseling office for new information on employment opportunities.

They boys basketball banquet is tonight at 7 p.m. All players are reminded to look sharp for the event. Shirt and tie are required. All students who borrowed old basketball jerseys from coach Justin Bogart need to return them this week.

Prom tickets are now on sale. Here is the breakdown of the cost. $5 for every senior who paid last year as a junior. $40 for every senior who did not attend last year. $40 for juniors until Friday, March 2. $45 for juniors until Friday, March 30. $50 for juniors until Friday, April 13. $55 for juniors and seniors at the door. $3 for parking passes bought in advance. You must keep them and have them for that night. $5 for valet parking the night or bought at Club 1000. See registrar Deana Thom for tickets.

Here are the After Prom details: After Prom permission forms for students and guests are available in the office. You must also have an outside guest dance permit in the office. The final registration date for After Prom is Friday, March 30. There will be no tickets sold at the door.

Congratulations to junior Stephanie Lichtenauer and junior Tanner Tripp who were both selected to the All Area team by the Lawrence Journal World newspaper.
