Science Olympiad will meet after school today.

Math teacher Casey Kuhn’s Blue One Geometry students need to see her today or tomorrow to pick up a worksheet. It will be due on Friday, Jan. 13.

Any boy who was a member of the golf team last year: please meet in coach Adam Wessel’s room immediately following school on Friday, Jan. 13.

There will be an informational Jaguars for Joplin meeting this Thursday, Jan. 12 in social studies teacher Corey Wurtz’s room, A-208, at 7:20 a.m. We encourage new members. Donuts will be provided.

The Harmony Club will meet in room A211 during seminar on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Please bring $15 if you would like to order a club T-shirt.

All boys interested in playing tennis this spring must attend a meeting in english teacher Eric Ammerman’s room, B234, this upcoming Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the beginning of seminar.

This is a call to anyone who has a talent in visual arts and may be interested in art club. Any student interested in joining art club needs to meet in room C118 with art teacher Jerry Howard at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12. Please be prompt and on time. If you are interested but can’t make this meeting, please talk to Howard during seminar.

All individuals that will be trying out for the baseball program need to come to a mandatory meeting this Friday, Jan. 13. The meeting will be in room A217 and will begin at 2:30 p.m.

There will be a meeting this Friday, Jan 13, during seminar, in the theater for all athletes who are considering going out for track and field this spring. Information and paperwork will be given out at this time. So please attend if you are considering coming out for track.

College bound juniors: this Friday is the regular registration deadline for the February 11th ACT test. Students can register on line for the exam at www.actstudent.org.

Drivers education forms are available for the class that will start Wednesday, Jan. 18. Forms are in the office and online. The cost is $200.

Congratulations to the quiz bowl team of junior Cole Clay, junior CJ Hopkins, sophomore Andrew Hecht, junior Sarah Jane Clark and junior Daniel Franken for taking second place at the Schlagle tournament yesterday afternoon and bringing home the silver medals.

The Lady Jags won their fourth straight game by soundly defeating Bishop Ward last night 47-15. They are next in action this Friday. Jan 13 when they host Basehor-Linwood. Make plans now to come out and support the boy’s basketball team.
