Daily announcements for Tuesday, May 7

There is a JV track and field meeting on Tuesday May 7 during seminar in the senior café. It is very important that all JV track athletes not competing in the league track meet need to attend!

Any student that had art work up at the Country Club Bank needs to come see art teacher Jodi Ellis in GL101 to pick up the work this week.

There will be a cross country meeting in the auditorium on Friday, May 10 during seminar.

If you would like to be a StuCo officer for the 2013-2014 school year, see sponsor Erica Crist in GL102. All speeches and petitions are due by 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.

This week is Mayhem Week.

  • Wednesday, May 8 – attend the talent show at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 11 – mud volleyball at noon.

Sign up your Mayhem teams in the commons during lunch.

The girls’ golf meeting is now Wednesday, May 15 during seminar. The meeting will be in coach Adam Wessel’s room A203.

Voyager students: pullouts for this week are on Wednesday, May 8 during Silver Three and Thursday, May 9 during Blue Two. Stop by our room and check out the posters for more information.

All students who applied to be in Friends In Learning next year, stop by the counseling office to pick up a letter for their placement status.

Students interested in being a Freshmen Mentor for next year please pick-up an application from the counseling office!

A listing of students who have been approved to attend Eudora Ed-tech programs for next year is posted on the counseling office window.

The last Read and Review meeting is this Thursday, May 9 in the media center. Sign up to attend the meeting in the media center. Jennifer Mendez from the Johnson County Library will share pre-published teen novels.

Seniors: all books and materials must be returned to the media center by Friday, May 10. Check for your name on the list on the media center windows. Check out sheets for seniors will be signed starting Monday, May 13.

Drivers’ Ed forms are available in the office and on line. Cost is $200 and classes begin the week of Monday, June 3.

Free Senior Fun Day is Thursday, May 16 at Shawnee Mission Park, Shelter 8, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Barbecue lunch and dessert provided.  Music, challenge obstacle course, basketball toss, frisbee, corn-hole, badminton, flag football and lots more!

Please congratulate the tennis players for their success at our regional tennis tournament yesterday. Our team finished tied for second place in the Regional with the tie-breaker going to Saint Thomas Aquinas High School.

Congratulations to Team Brick Squad for taking home the golden spheres at last night’s dodge ball tournament. Sophomore Patrick Muldoon, senior Nathan Stacy, senior Brett Hamilton, junior Ben Carrol, senior Kyle Kain and senior Austin Moylan dominated the competition for a second consecutive year.
