Daily announcements for Thursday, May 9

There is a wrestling meeting today in the main gym.

Any JV track athlete that has not turned in their uniform needs to do so by Friday, May 10 in the field house after school.

Mud volleyball is Saturday at noon. The cost to play is $5 per person. Pick up a permission form in the office, from StuCo sponsor Erica Crist or at lunch. Please turn in money and forms by Friday, May 10 in the afternoon.

There will be a Zumba session in the auxiliary gym on Tuesday, May 14 during seminar for anyone who is interested.

Boys tennis players: the banquet is being moved to Tuesday, May 14 after school in the senior café. Please see coach Eric Ammerman or coach Alyssa Meyer for more information.

Any student that had art work up at the Country Club Bank needs to come see art teacher Jodi Ellis in GL101 to pick up the work this week.

There will be a cross country meeting in the auditorium on Friday, May 10 during seminar.

If you would like to be a StuCo officer for the 2013-2014 school year, see Crist in GL102. All speeches and petitions are due by 3 p.m.

The girls’ golf meeting is now Wednesday, May 15 during seminar. The meeting will be in coach Adam Wessel’s classroom.

Students interested in being a Freshmen Mentor for next year please pick-up an application from the counseling office.

Seniors: please return all materials to the media center by tomorrow. Starting Monday, May 13, we will not be able to sign senior checkout sheets unless all materials have been returned and fines paid.

Drivers’ Ed forms are available in the office and on line. Cost is $200 and classes begin the week of Monday, June 3.

Free Senior Fun Day is Thursday, May 16 at Shawnee Mission Park, Shelter 8, 10:30 a.m.-3:30pm

  • Barbecue lunch and dessert provided
  • Music, challenge obstacle course, basketball toss, frisbee, corn-hole, badminton, flag football and lots more.

Congratulations to both the boys and girls track team for winning the Kaw Valley Track meet last night. It was the boys sixth and the girls 13th championship in a row.
