Daily announcements for Thursday, Jan. 12

Freshman boys basketball practice begins at 5 p.m. today in the auxiliary gym. Practice will be over at 6:30 p.m. Please be on time and ready for practice.

Any boy who was a member of the golf team last year, please meet in coach Adam Wessel’s room immediately following school on Friday, Jan. 13.

The Harmony Club will meet in Room A211 during seminar on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Please bring $15 if you would like to
order a club t-shirt.

All boys interested in playing tennis this spring must attend a meeting in coach Eric Ammerman’s room, B234, this upcoming Tuesday, Jan. 17 at the beginning of seminar.

This is a call to anyone who has a talent in visual arts and may be interested in art club. Any student interested in joining art club needs to meet in room C118 with art teacher Jerry Howard at 3 p.m. today. Please be prompt and on time. If you are interested but can’t make this meeting, please talk to Howard during seminar.

All individuals that will be trying out for the baseball program need to come to a mandatory meeting this Friday, Jan. 13. The meeting will be in room A217 and will begin at 2:30 p.m.

There will be a meeting Friday, Jan. 13, during seminar, in the theater for all athletes who are considering going out for track and field this spring. Information and paperwork will be given out at this time. So please attend if you are considering coming out for track.

Voyager students: check out the next Socratic Seminar, What the Dog Saw on Thursday, Jan. 19th Silver one. Pick up a packet to read before the seminar.

Stop by the counseling office for information about a recently posted job opportunity.

College-bound juniors: tomorrow is the regular registration deadline for the Saturday, Feb. 11 ACT test. Students
can register on line for the exam at www.actstudent.org.

Drivers Ed forms are available for the class that will start Wednesday, Jan. 18. Forms are in the office and online. The cost is $200.

New at lunch: a third hot lunch choice featured every Friday during January. Head down to the Ala Carte line for a third choice for hot lunch. For the same hot lunch price, there will be an additional choice available. Get a main dish, potato side, fresh fruit and veggie all for $2. New choices available every Friday, only on the Ala Carte line. Come check it out.

Looking for something to do this first cold weekend of the winter? The media center received a new shipment of books over the break, and they are now ready to be checked out by students. Stop by the display on top of the fiction shelves to see which title you want to read.
