Daily announcements for Thursday, Aug. 30

Today there is a JAG officers and returning JAG members need to meeting in room C107 immediately following the release to travel. This meeting is for officers and returning JAG members only.

All boys interested in playing basketball should attend an informational meeting in the theater today during seminar.

Art club will have a brief meeting today at 3 p.m. in art teacher Jerry Howards room C-118. Please be prompt.

All girls interested in playing basketball should attend an informational meeting in room B221 during seminar today. This meeting is only for girls that are not going out for a fall sport.

If you have turned in a parking permit card, your parking permit is ready to be picked up in the SRO’s office.
Please remember that if you have a vehicle, and you are parking in the school’s parking lot, you have to have a
permit on each vehicle you drive to the school.

Students: purchase your homecoming class t-shirt from your StuCo president or vice-president, art teacher Erica Crist, or at lunch. T-shirts are $8 and order forms will only be accepted with payment.

All returning and new quiz bowl members please attend meeting Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. in room, A 209.

Any student who has not picked up their yearbook may do so in room C101 during seminar or before or after school.

Freshmen: pick up a StuCo application in art teacher Erica Crist’s room. Petitions and speeches are due on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

A new driver’s education class will start Wednesday, Sept. 5. Forms are available in the office and online.

Voyager students: freshmen pullout is tomorrow during blue 2.
Voyagers pick up a monthly schedule outside the voyager’s door.

If you are interested in becoming a student ambassador, stop by the counseling office for more information and to pick up an application. All applications are due by 3:00pm on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

Today is the deadline to sign up and pay for the September ACT Prep Class. The class will meet this evening from 6:30 to 9 p.m. The fee is $85.

Today is the deadline for College Now students to complete their on line application for admission to
Johnson County Community College along with their high school authorization forms and high school transcripts with qualifying ACT scores if applicable.

The Miss Kansas Teen USA Pageant and Lindenwood University in St. Louis, Missouri have joined together to make over 2.5 million dollars in scholarships available. The pageant will be held in Wichita, Kansas on Friday, Nov. 30 through Monday, Dec. 2. For more information, please stop by the counseling office.

The spirit bus will leave at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow. The cost to get in the game is $5.There is no fee to ride the bus. Each student is responsible for his/her ticket and food. Students must ride the bus home.

Today’s freshman triangular volleyball has been moved to 5 p.m.
