in the show.

A “Midsummer Night’s Dream” will be performed next Friday, May 4 and Saturday, May 5 at 7 p.m. each night. Mark your calendars to see this awesome production. Tickets are $3 for students with student I.D. They may be purchased from drama teacher Jon Copeland starting next Monday.

All Mill Valley students who are not currently singing in a choir and wish to audition for next year need to see director Sheree Stoppel for audition music and information. There are four choirs at Mill Valley and all are accepting new singers.

Attention blue four and Spanish four class: you need to pick up your permission slip for the field trip today.

There will be a cross country meeting for all those interested in cross country next year on Monday, April 30 in the senior café.

Driver’s education forms for the summer session are now available in the office and online. Class will begin Monday, June 4. Classes meet from 10-11:30 a.m. on Monday through Thursday each week for three weeks. Cost is $200.

Staff and Students the 10th annual Art Exhibit at Country Club bank will be up for viewing next week with the art show opening today from 5:30-7 p.m. We invite each of you to come view the talents of our art students as we showcase them for the community.

Voyager Students: join us for “Passport to Intrigue”– critical & creative writing and more on Thursday, May 3 during silver two. No packet is required.

Attention seniors: the list for those students with overdue books and/or fines due in the media center is now posted by the media center doors. Seniors will need to return books and pay fines as well as other responsibilities before receiving their diploma. Check out the list on the window and take care of these responsibilities at your earliest opportunity.

The application deadline to continue or create a new club is Monday, April 30. All clubs must have a certified teacher as a sponsor. If you wish to create a new club please obtain your teacher sponsor, then see assistant principal Matt Fedde for the required paperwork. All applications are due to Fedde by the end of the day, Monday, April 30, no exceptions.

Attention male students planning to attend Kansas State University in the fall: New information has been received about a scholarship opportunity being awarded through the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity for the upcoming school year. Applicants do not have to join this fraternity to apply. Also new to the counseling office is the LAJ Scholarship. Students applying for this scholarship must exhibit academic success, leadership and community involvement, with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Please stop by the counseling office for more information.

The counseling office has information about the upcoming Youth Leadership Institute, which is a five day, hands-on program for students eager to learn skills necessary to become a successful leader. This event is being held the week of July 16-20 at Johnson County Community College and is for any high school student with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Tuition is $195, which covers supplies, meals and field trip transportation. Deadline for registration is Tuesday, May 1. Stop by the counseling office for more information.
