“Christmas Carol” cast: we need to start at 3:30 p.m. today. Only those who are double cast will wear costumes today. If you have a microphone please be early to have it on before 3:30 p.m.

The jagPRIDE meeting for tomorrow has been cancelled. Please check your email.

There will be no quiz bowl practice tomorrow or Friday, Nov. 2 this week. Practice today and Thursday, Nov. 1 only.

Any Band member who is attending the pep rally tonight needs to be in the band room at 5:15 p.m. You need to wear your band t-shirt. Pit Orchestra practice will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30p.m.

Cross country uniform check in is tomorrow after school in room B225

MVHS is participating in “Trick-or-Treat So Others Can Eat” tomorrow from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. If you would like to participate in trick-or-treating for canned goods, wear a costume or a spirit shirt and meet in GL102 at 5:45 p.m. tomorrow evening. Pizza will be served to those who arrive on time.

Attention all NHS members: math teacher Kristen Chavez would like to remind you that you need to register for the fashion show by Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Attention soccer players: uniform check in will be Wednesday, Oct. 31 after school. All uniforms, warm ups & bags
need to be washed and dried before turning them in to coach Arlan Vomhof.

Tickets for “A Christmas Carol” are now on sale. See drama teacher Jon Copeland during seminar or before or after school to order your tickets. The show runs Sunday, Nov. 4 through  Saturday, Nov. 10.

All boys interested in playing golf this spring should attend a meeting today during seminar, in coach Adam Wessel’s room, A203.

All boys interested in trying out for the boys basketball team need to attend an informational meeting today during seminar.

Attention seniors: Jostens will be at school this Wednesday, Oct. 31 during lunch, to collect graduation orders. Please remember to bring your order and your $50 deposit on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

Voyager pullouts for this week are Tuesday, Oct. 30 during blue one, Thursday, Nov. 1 blue three and Friday, Nov. 2 during silver two.

Any junior interested in helping with prom planning this year, please see art teacher Jodi Ellis sometime today or tomorrow to sign up.

Students: if you are interested in learning about the US Service Academies, there will be a meeting tomorrow during seminar in the little theater. MVHS graduate Devin Ellison, will be here to speak to students. Stop by the counseling office to sign up.

Seniors: the scholarship deadline for both Kansas State University and the University of Kansas is Thursday, Nov. 1.

Friday, Nov. 2 is the registration deadline for the December ACT exam. Students can register on-line at actstudent.org.

Juniors: take a free practice ACT test on Saturday, Nov. 17. Sign up in the counseling office by Monday, Oct. 29.

Detentions are in room GL101.
