Daily announcements for Monday, Feb. 25

Completed Eudora Ed-Tech applications are due in the Counseling Office today.

All boys interested trying out for golf meet in Mr. Wessel’s room A203 tomorrow right after school.

There will be track practice today. Dress out and meet in the Senior Café.

Drivers Ed will meet today.

Play practice for Monday, Feb. 25th is cancelled. Please spend the time memorizing the lines for the scene we were going to block today.

Attention Mrs. Haeffner’s Silver 1 Pre-AP Geography class. Please stop by Ms. Cox’s room B244 to pick up an additional reading for next class!

If you are signed up to take the ACT Plan Test at DeSoto on Saturday, you will need to stop by the counseling office for information.

If you are travelling with Mrs. Paredes this summer, please make sure you check and read the email she sent through the EF website. If you have any questions, please see her.

Prom tickets are on sale with Mrs. Thom in the counseling office. The cost will be $40 through March 29th for all Juniors & seniors that did not attend last year. All Seniors that attended last year the cost will be $5. All underclassmen, foreign exchange students and outside of school guests will cost $25.

Parking passes will be $3 and you must have the pass to park- please consider carpooling.

College bound Juniors are encouraged to take the ACT test twice during their junior year. March 8th is the registration deadline for the April 13th test date.

The last ACT Test Prep class will be offered at Mill Valley on March 28th, April 4th, and April 11th from 6:30-9:00. The cost is $85 and checks should be made out to MVHS. Interested juniors can sign up and pay for the class in the Counseling Office.

Congratulations to the boys bowling team who qualified for the state bowling meet on Thursday in Wichita!

Mill Valley had two state wrestling medalists this past weekend. Congratulations to the entire wrestling program!

In recognition and celebration of Black History Month, the Kansas African American Affairs Commission has announced a new feature on their website — the ‘Kansas Black History Remembered’ online calendar highlighting African Americans in Kansas from 1865 to present day. Please take some time to visit this great resource.
