There will be a football team meeting for anyone interested in playing football next fall during seminar.  The meeting will be in the senior cafe.

Return AP and Pre-AP contracts to the counseling office no later than April 16.

Next NHS meeting is Wednesday, April 9.  We are going to have a very special guest speaker and presentation on April 9 so please arrive on time for that meeting.

NHS members: If you would like more community service hours, you have an opportunity to volunteer at Run For Mercy on Saturday, April 5 in the morning. Please talk to Mrs. Chavez for more information.

Mill Valley Cheer tryouts will be held Wednesday, April 2- Friday, April 4.   For more information please visit the cheer website. GO JAGS!

Senior Reminder:  Booster Club Scholarship deadline is Tuesday, April 1.

We will have a prom work day on Saturday, April 5 from 9-12.  Please see Mrs. Ellis if you cannot attend as we will be planning our final work days on that date.

Prom tickets are on sale!  This year prom will be Saturday, May 3 at the Madrid Theatre. The cost for Seniors who attended last year will be $5.  Seniors that did not attend last year, and for all juniors the cost is $40 until Monday, March 31.   For underclassmen, exchange students and outside guests the cost is $25.  Please see Mrs. Thom in the counseling office to purchase these.

After Prom tickets sales will be sold at lunch this week.

Junior guys:  Today is the application deadline for Boys State.  Paper copies of the application are available in the Counseling Office or students can apply online at kansasboysstate.org.

The counseling office has new information for summer job opportunities.

Don’t be a fool; get your tickets now for the April Fool’s Day Film Fest taking place in the theater during Seminar on Tuesday, April 1.  Tickets cost one dollar in advance and two dollars at the door.  Purchase tickets from any Video Production student or from Mrs. Swartz in Room C103.

The Activity of the Week is the girls soccer game on Thursday, April 3.  Come out and support the team as they take on Shawnee Mission North.  JV plays at 4 p.m., Varsity at 6 p.m.

Please mark your calendars for a couple of dates for Class Cup:

Wednesday:  third quarter winner party—that means all SENIORS will miss fourth block and seminar—movie in the theater.

Tuesday, May 6:  Class Cup Champion trip; the winning class will miss the majority of the day—likely leaving at the end of first block and returning before the end of the school day.  The class who wins will get to vote on either a day at the Kansas City Zoo or a day at the Legends.
