Community members gathered to watch the annual homecoming parade on Wednesday, Oct. 8.

The festivities of Homecoming week continued with the parade and bonfire Wednesday, Oct. 8. School clubs and sports made a float and participated in the parade. The float winners were volleyball with first place, boys soccer with second place, and girls tennis with third place. A bonfire and pep rally, hosted by Booster Club, was held after the parade, where students received a free hot dog and water.

Sophomore Kristen Higgens was on the sophomore float, and she really enjoyed being able to participate in the parade.

“I was really happy because we had a ton of people with a lot of school spirit,” Higgens said.

Most of the students enjoyed this year’s parade more than last years. Sophomore Laura Meza was on the girls basketball float. She really enjoyed passing out candy to the kids and see their happy faces when they received it.

“It was really fun. It was my first time doing it and I kind of regret not doing it last year,” Meza said. I would definitely do it again.”
