Choir selling butter braids to help fund program

To help raise money for department needs, the choir is selling butter braids until Monday, October 31.

Each butter braid costs $13, and there are six flavors: apple, Bavarian crème with chocolate icing, blueberry and cream cheese, cherry, cinnamon and cream cheese.

According to choir director Sheree Stoppel, the choir department is selling butter braids for costumes, sheet music and other expenses.

“We’re raising money to help our choir budget to purchase things that are needed for the choir department,” Stoppel said.

Stoppel decided to sell the butter braids because they are recognized at school.

“The butter braids are established here…Cheer sells them in the spring, so choir decided to sell them in the fall,” Stoppel said.

Sophomore choir member Meghan Fuller wants to sell to as many people as she can.

“My personal goal is to sell to all of my neighbors,” Fuller said.

The braids can be bought from any choir member, and they will be delivered on Thursday, Nov. 17.
