Choir donations exceed expectations

Choir donations exceed expectations

The choir raised over $350 at its concert on Monday, Oct. 3. The money was being raised to buy music for the choir at Joplin High School.

Vocal music teacher Sheree Stoppel is pleased with how much money was raised from the over 300 attendents.

“It went well,” Stoppel said. “This is far better than we had hoped.”

Stoppel has also been approached by an area community choir offering to donate music to Joplin High School.

Members of the choir were also happy with the concert’s success.

“Overall, [the concert] was pretty good,” sophomore Rachel Dressler said.
