Youth for Refugees completes second annual house furnishing project for refugee family

The club partnered with NHS to collect items and furniture for a home Saturday, April 20

National Honor Society members juniors Carter Tollman and Noah Pham watch as Youth for Refugees sponsor Jeff Wieland and Youth for Refugees president Emma Clement measure a dresser to ensure that it will fit on the truck delivering donated furniture. The Youth for Refugees club worked with National Honor Society to transport and set up furniture for a soon to be home for a refugee family in KC Saturday, April 20.

Outside of journalism, she is the president of Youth for Refugees club, a social media manager of KAY club and Spanish NHS, as well as a member of NHS and NEHS. When not at school Avery can be found coaching gymnastics, listening to music on Spotify, reading or spending time with friends and family.
