Varsity bowling team does well in meet

The varsity boys and girls bowling teams both placed second in their meet at Mission Bowl on Tuesday, Feb. 5. The girls and boys varsity competed against Olathe Northwest High School and Shawnee Mission South High School.

Bowling coach Adam Wessel says that the bowling members will learn from this meet.

“It was a struggle for both teams,” Wessel said. “We know that we are better than how we bowled on Tuesday and hopefully we can use it as a learning experience to get better.”

Girls varsity bowling member Cassie Widmer thinks that the team did well.

“Overall, I think we did decent, but we still have a lot to improve upon,” Widmer said. “Especially picking up our spares.”

The next bowling meet is in Leavenworth at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 11 against De Soto High School and Leavenworth High School.
