Sweet potato heaven

For this week I made a delicious side dish that goes great with steaks and fried green beans. It is baked sweet potatoes.

Ingredients:

2 large sweet potatoes

¼ cup brown sugar

2 tbsp. butter

Marshmallows to top the dish

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Set the two sweet potatoes in a 9×9 inch baking dish. Cook for one hour. Then take out.

When the potatoes are done, cut them open down the middle and put one tablespoon of butter in each potato. Then divide the brown sugar between the two. To finish, add as many marshmallows as you would like. I like to think, the more the better.

Turn the oven down to 200 degrees and put the finished sweet potatoes back in for around 30 minutes. The marshmallow should have a kind of roasted color to them. This should feed 6 people.

This recipe makes for the perfect holiday side dish or just for when you have steaks. Tell me what you guys think and that’s what’s cookin’ this week.
