JAG: Why did you decide to be a student tech?

Cameron Long: I decided to be a student tech because I love working with technology. It’s always been something I like to do in my spare time. [I also like] helping my parents with any technology problems they might have.

J: What is your favorite part about being a student tech?

C: Just seeing the smile on peoples faces after they have been helped and knowing that we did something good for them. I usually have about five people come in per block.

J: What is one thing you want students, teachers, and/or parents to know about the MacBooks?

C: There are pros and cons. Some people don’t like how heavy it is and there are a lot of things you can’t do on it, but it’s nice to have a computer if people don’t have one at home.

J: What’s one lesson or thing you have learned by being a student tech?

C: There is always something that can go wrong. You may think that the MacBooks are a perfect thing, but they aren’t. There are a lot of problems with the MacBooks that we haven’t figured out.

J: What’s one thing you want students and parents to know about you?

C: I like working with people and serving people to help them with anything that might go bad for them. I just like the feeling of knowing I did something for them.

J: What is one characteristic that you possess that you think makes you a good student tech?

C: I am a social person and this requires someone who is social because you have to be able to talk to them and learn how to get to the root of the problem that they have.
