Sophomore basketball works well with team

Starting basketball in third grade, sophomore Mary Altman has always found enjoyment in playing the sport and bonding with teammates. Playing varsity this year for the second straight season, she believes the team will grow as the year goes on.

“With every game we play, we only get better,” Altman said.

Altman enjoys being with her teammates at practices and during games.

“We really enjoy each other’s company,” Altman said. “When it comes to game time, we all get along well.”

Along with getting to know one another, Altman truly believes that games reflect how they practice. With the season close to halfway over, Altman plans on practicing more often and keeping a positive mindset.

“We play like we practice,” Altman said. “If the practices have been good, we win games. It’s as simple as that.”
