Sophomore baseball player expects good season

Varsity second baseman sophomore Bryce Lievens is prepared for the season and holds high expectations for the team. Being the only starting sophomore on varsity, Lievens puts full effort in both practices and games.

“This year, I’m looking to gain experience,” Lievens said. “As a team, we have the potential to make a run at the state title.”

Along with working hard in practices, Lievens gets along well with his teammates.

“Everyone on the team knows each others’ strengths and weaknesses,” Lievens said. “We can all trust each other.”

They are all close to one another and work well in both practices and games.

“The practices are laid-back, but we make sure to get stuff done,” Lievens said. “Whether we are working on our fundamentals or hitting batting practice, every one of us is working to get better.”
