Q and A with StuCo vice president candidate Joe Gunter

Q and A with StuCo vice president candidate Joe Gunter

Sophomore Joe Gunter

1. Why are you running for student body office?

I see the opportunity to make a difference and I really want to. I feel like I could do a good job in the position.

2. What makes you qualified for the position of vice president?

In Robotics I take on leadership opportunities as possible. I also participate in drama, the musical, the play, debate and forensics. So, I’m good at taking the general ideas and communicating them to people in a clear and concise manner.

3. What sets you apart from the other candidates?

As an individual I tend to not settle on things, so if I hear something that is not favorable I am going to push for the desired result, and I won’t take no for an answer.

4. Why do you think student council is an important aspect of school?

We are the voice of the students, administration and upper power in our school. And if we do our job well it makes the entire school experience easier for the students.

5. What are your goals for next year, if elected?

If elected I intend to focus on improving the communication between the students and the administration. So that hopefully we can avoid another Homecoming incident.
