Melt-away chocolate chip cookies

For this week I decided to make my own recipe for chocolate chip cookies. These cookies are light, fluffy and absolutely delicious.

Ingredients:

1 ½ sticks of butter (cut up)

1 cup of brown sugar

½ cup of sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

2 ½ cups of flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 ½ cups chocolate chip

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix the butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar together until creamed. Then, add the eggs one at a time. Beat until the eggs are well mixed. Add in the vanilla and mix for 3 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, baking soda and the salt together.

Add the dry ingredients to the wet and mix until you get a creamy, smooth consistency.

Fold in the chocolate chips.

Greasy two cookie sheets, or use parchment paper. Use two spoons to put the cookie dough on the sheets.

Bake for 14 minutes or until golden brown.

These cookies easily melt in your mouth. That’s what’s cookin’ this week. Check back next week for a new recipe, only on mvnews.org.
