Ladies and gentleman, spring has arrived. Spring can spark creativity. So much so that the creativity can almost feel overwhelming and you don’t know where to start. So this week I am here to help you focus your creativity and turn it into productivity.
1. Read. Reading is very inspiring and it might help you focus your mind and your goals towards a creative project inspired by the story.

2. Look at art. Whether it be online or in a museum, looking at art is always inspiring. If you want to go to a museum but don’t want to have to pay a steep price, I suggest the Nelson Atkins museum located in the plaza.

3. Go out into nature. Nature is beautiful, especially during the spring time and taking the time for yourself in the quiet can hopefully give you some creative direction.

4. Take a nap. Not only are naps amazing and peaceful breaks of the day, they can also inspire and rejuvenate. If you’re feeling a little lost with creativity, close your eyes for 30 minutes to an hour

5. Watch an inspirational movie. A movie will have the same effect as the book, so if you’re not a reader, then watch a movie instead.

6. Finish projects. This is a bit of a hypocritical advice seeing as how I rarely finish what I start but I do advise people who want to get focused with their creativity to do so.

7. Surround yourself with inspiring people. Make friends with people who are into arts or just who are generally motivated and focused. Their attitude will inspire you to act the same.

8. Meditate. Meditation is a very efficient way to focus and calm yourself. For a few minutes a day, free your mind of thoughts and worries and find true focus and peace. Afterwards, you’ll feel very open and inspired as well as concentrated to complete your goals.

Hopefully this helped anyone who is inspired yet struggling to find a focus. Creativity is a very important aspect of life so I would like to thank anyone who is inspired and looking to do something unique with their inspirations. Create on my friends.
