Ken Larsen, assistant superintendent of business and operations

What does your job entail? 

I handle all of the finances of the district, and, in addition to that, the facilities department reports to me, as does student nutrition department reports to me and the parents as teachers program reports to me.

What do you like about your job? 

It’s just what I do; I love it. I’ve been in this type of work, accounting and so forth, my entire working career, many years in private business before I came to the school [district]. I’m now in my 19th year with the school district, but prior to that I was in private business.

What is something people might not know about you?

I love to golf. Unfortunately, I took [golf] up a little bit later, about 20 years [ago]. I just love getting out in the fresh air seeing the beautiful courses. I like to play a many different courses.
