Senior Katherine Weigel shares her interests, insight on this year's Homecoming and plans for the future
Mill Valley News: Tell us a little bit about yourself?
Katherine Weigel: I play soccer and basketball at Mill Valley. I’m a member of Student Council, JLC and SLT. I am the vice president of Mill Valley’s Young Republicans of America [club].
MVN: What are you looking forward to most about homecoming and this school year?
KW: I’m excited about powderpuff kickball and actually having a coronation ceremony.
MVN: How many homecomings have you attended?
KW: It will be four this year.
MVN: Despite all the changes to homecoming due to COVID-19 are you excited that the school is still trying to keep the tradition?
KW: I am excited that the school is trying to keep the tradition of homecoming this year because as seniors we’ve already had so much taken away from our last year of high school and having homecoming will bring a sense of normalcy to our lives.
MVN: Where do you plan to attend college?
KW: Kansas State University
MVN: What do you plan to major in?
KW: Architectural engineering
