Jazz band wins “Outstanding Jazz Award” at Kansas City Jazz Summit
Out of the 22 jazz ensembles performing at Kansas City Community College on Wednesday, April 25, the Mill Valley jazz band was among the three that received the “Outstanding Jazz Award” that day.

During the Mill Valley high school Jazz performance on Wednesday April 25, Sophomore John Fraka stands up to play his solo piece. The band competed at Kansas City Community College and was one of only three bands to receive the "Outsdanding Jazz Ensemble" award out of the 22 schools at the festival.
