Competing in an unusual format, the varsity and junior varsity girls golf teams participated in the St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational at the Overland Park Golf Course on Wednesday, Sept. 28.
The tournament included three different events: scramble, alternate shot and best ball.
Varsity shot 121 overall. The alternate shot team, consisting of junior Hadley Tharp and junior Hanna Torline, earned third place, shooting 42. The varsity scramble team shot 41 and the best ball team shot 38.
Junior varsity shot 141 overall. The best ball team shot 49, the scramble team shot 40 and the alternate shot team, which included junior Ellen Bodine and freshman Holly Webb, shot 52.
Bodine is proud of the results.
“I played alright, but as a team, Holly [Webb] and I played really well,” Bodine said. “I’m really happy with the team’s results.”
