This week, the varsity and junior varsity girls golf teams competed in invitational tournaments on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and Wednesday, Sept. 7. Varsity played in the Piper Invitational at the Sunflower Hills Golf Course and junior varsity played in the Olathe North Invitational at the Gardner Golf Course.
The varsity team placed fourth overall, with a team score of 394. Junior Hanna Torline shot 99 and junior Hadley Tharp shot 103 on the par 72 course.
Junior varsity had a team score of 462 and placed seventh at the Olathe North Invitational. Sophomore Krista Brewer shot 107, freshman Holly Webb shot 112, junior Ellen Bodine shot 119, sophomore Laurel Knust shot 124, and sophomore Grace Rittenhouse shot 134. The course par was 71.
The next varsity tournament is the Spring Hill Invitational at the Paola Golf Course on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 3 p.m.
