  • Performing “Funiculi Funicula” by Luigi Denza, junior Maddie Hoedes helps showcase the flute section during the bridge of the song. The band gave its final performance of the year Tuesday, May 7. Along with the performance, senior band members were recognized and given awards.

  • Signaling a decrescendo in the music, senior Megan Dillon directs the band. Dillon composed the piece “Variegated Visions” to showcase her journey through high school.

  • Holding the outstanding senior award, band Director Deb Steiner explains the award would go to the senior with the most points. Points are added every time a member attends a sporting game or steps in when needed.

  • Winning the first annual Spirit of the Band award, senior Zach Bossert embraces Steiner for an appreciation hug.

  • Before the last song, seniors Johannes Seberger and Zach Bossert present Steiner with a personalized shelving unit for the band room.

  • Making a line across the gym, seniors face the audience to be recognized for their band accomplishments.

  • During the last song of the night, junior Rebecca Hurtog joins other members of her section to finish “The Hexagon” by John Fannin.
