Underclassmen bowler has high hopes for season

Freshman Cole Gray began bowling when he was just two years old. Since then, he has been to the bowling alley as much as possible.

“[Bowling] is fun and easy,” Gray said. “It’s an easy way to pass time.”

With the school creating a bowling team this year, Gray went tried out and made it. They have had two meets since then and in both Gray bowled at varsity level and helped contribute to a team win in both meets.

“If we work together as a team this year, a state championship is in reach,” Gray said.

Ranked fifth on the team, Gray hopes to bowl varsity in each meet and tries to beat his previous score each game that he bowls.

“My highest game so far was when I bowled a 255 this year,” Gray said. “It always feels good to set a new high score.”
