Dr. Ron Wimmer, interim superintendent

What does your job entail?

My main responsibility is working with the Board of Education. In addition to that, I support the staff members that work here in the office, the directors primarily. I am a source of information and give advice and guidance. I am here to support and help all of the people who work here. The superintendent’s job is to know a little bit about everything. Quite technically, not a lot about any one of them, but you have to have a general knowledge so that you can help everyone in the all the various areas they’re responsible for.

What do you like about your job?

I like working with people. That’s probably the main thing that I like. People includes the people that work here, the teachers in the building [and] the students. I just like working with human beings.

What is something people might not know about you?

Probably the most interesting [thing] that students might be interested in is that I was expelled from high school. I think that’s an interesting fact. I probably would have been voted least likely to be in education.
