The boys soccer team tied Blue Valley on Thursday, Oct. 16 1-1.

The boys soccer team tied 1-1 against Blue Valley on Thursday, Oct. 16. The game lasted 100 minutes in total.

Junior midfielder Dalton Sieperda expected a close game.

“I was expecting an evenly-matched opponent. We knew they were good. It was going to be evenly matched,” Sieperda said. “The team played well. I think it was our best game of the season. We connected passes, we put the work in definitely. It was just result.”

When the team went into overtime, senior midfielder and defender Cameron Rohr was expecting a better outcome.

“I was hoping to win, but we were all running out of gas,” Rohr said.

Even though the team tied, Rohr was not disappointed in the team’s play.

“I think we played well. We possessed the ball well and played good defense,” Rohr said. “I was hoping for a win, but honestly I’m happy with a tie.”

The team’s next game will be on Saturday, Oct. 18 against Blue Valley West.
