Boys soccer team beats Turner High School 2-1

The beginning of season is going well for both the varsity and JV boys soccer teams. Varsity is coming off a 2-1 win against Turner High School on Thursday, Sept. 8.

“Our first games went really well, we only had five returning members so I consider us a new team,” head coach Arlan Vomhof said.

After losing 0-2 against Gardner-Edgerton High School on Tuesday,September 6, Vomhof has strategies for their upcoming games.

“We need to work on defensive strategies, and continue to get used to playing to together, it’s still early in the season,” Vomhof said.

After the recent loss Vomhof believes the team needs to play harder.

“I didn’t think we played as hard as we did at our other games, everyone was a little off,” Vomhof said.

The next home game is Tuesday, Sept. 13.
