Boys junior varisty bowling team places first at tournament while others place third

Boys junior varisty bowling team places first at tournament while others place third

The bowling team competed in a tournament against Leavenworth High School, Lawrence High School, Lansing High School and Topeka Seaman High School on Thursday, Jan. 26.

The boys and girls varisty teams placed third. Junior varisty girls also placed third while the junior varisty boys placed first.

The varsity boys had a team score of 2,307. Individual series scores are as follows: senior Ryan Hannah, 636, freshman Sloan June, 532, senior Garrett Scheffler, 523, sophomore Jon Darby, 523, junior LJ Hatch, 509 and senior Tyler Moore, 497.

The varsity girls had a team score of 2,017. Individual series scores are as follows: sophomore Cassie Widmer, 591, senior Dakotah Widmer, 526, senior Olivia Cain, 430, freshman Maridee Weber, 430, sophomore Lindsey Jackson, 399 and senior Madison Bohling, 369.

The bowling teams will take on Atchison High School, De Soto High School and Blue Valley South West High School at Park Lanes on Monday, Jan. 30 at 3:30 p.m. They will also be hosting Atchison and De Soto at home on Friday, Feb. 2 at 3:30 p.m.
