Top Super Bowl commercial picks

The Super Bowl XLVI was a win not only for the New York Giants, but also for the commercials. Everyone knows that if you aren’t watching the sporting event for the actual game, you are either watching it for the halftime performance or the commercials. A various number of advertisements caught my eye this past Sunday, Feb. 5. Here are some of my favorites that you should definitely check out.

5. Oikos’ “The Tease”

Not only did I get to salivate over my favorite yogurt, but I also took a ride back in time when I got to see Full House’s famous Uncle Jesse (John Stamos).

4. Doritos’ “Man’s Best Friend”

What’s funnier than a comedic animal? Not much, really.

3. The Voice‘s “Vocal Kombat”

My theory is that if you put Betty White in any role, it’s destined to be greatness. Not only do I enjoy The Voice and think the commercial was clever, I laughed out loud when White made her appearance.

2. Dorito’s “Sling Baby”

If anything’s funnier than a comedic animal (as I mentioned above) it’s a comedic baby. This commercial certainly made me laugh and go “aww.” What can I say? I’ve got a soft spot for babies.

1. Pepsi’s “King’s Court”

This Pepsi ad stars Elton John and recent The X-Factor winner Melanie Amaro. A part of her prize, this commercial does well in showcasing the reasons for Amaro’s deserved win. As featured in the commercial is Amaro’s rendition of Aretha Franklin’s “Respect,” now available for purchase.
