Tubular Thrifting: Hey Macklemore! Can we go thrift shopping?
Tubular Thrifting will center around DIY tutorials, old art and appreciating a different style
September 5, 2016
Hi, and welcome to my wholesome and wannabe hipster blog devoted to one thing I truly have a passion for: thrifting
Now you are more than likely wondering, “What exactly does she mean by thrifting?”
My personal definition of “thrifting” would be an afternoon or evening devoted to traveling to different thrift stores and purchasing things that could be defined as “fashion risks.”
As silly as it may sound, if it is a melancholy Sunday afternoon, I can more than likely be located in your local Savers, Goodwill or Salvation Army.
In short, this blog is going to be all about mom jeans, flannels, DIY Halloween costumes and transforming that old painting into something beautiful. Every once in awhile, there will be a YouTube video to go along with my findings of the week and ways to alter them.
A lot of my blog posts will focus on some of my favorite things that I wear on a weekly basis, and I’ll be giving some tips on ways to style certain pieces. For example how to look groovy in some denim on denim, or how to make your dad’s old 80s jacket look more modern. Every now and then, you will see a few posts that aren’t necessarily about clothing items, but I’ll save that for when the time is right.
I look forward to what will come out of this year, and to share my experiences with you.
Stay thrifty,
Claire Boone

Dear Claire Boone:
I was wondering if it would be appropriate to haggle on the price of items at Savers? Have you ever tried it? Also, I have seen your Mom jeans. How much did they cost?
