Hunter Ristau , JagWire managing editor and business manager, MVTV assistant producer

This is senior Hunter Ristau’s third year on JagWire staff. This year, he is the business manager and managing editor for the JagWire, and an assistant producer for MVTV. Hunter is also a part of the Mill Valley Lacrosse club. Outside of school, Hunter likes to hang out with friends and his family.

Less than 12 hours after the fire started, construction workers continue to demolish the weight room, Friday, June 7.

With the fire out, Shawnee firefighters get checked out by paramedics.

After the fire is out the Lenexa Fire Department uses a fan to blow out smoke from the building's interior.

After arriving at Mill Valley High School, Shawnee fire engine pumps water from the fire hydrant to the school.

Starting off the Easter service at Common Grace church located in Olathe, Kansas, physics teacher Chad Brown and senior Sydney Clarkin perform the song "Awake My Soul" by Mumford and Sons Sunday, April 21. "We were just talking about music one day and I showed him the song 'Waiting on June' and I was like, ‘I really want to try this sometime', and he was like ‘Why don’t we?'" Clarkin said. "He just brought his guitar to school one day and we started working on it."

Because of print journalism and digital journalism decreasing and increasing in popularity respectively, journalism students are encouraged to become well-rounded media reporters. To aid in this, courses teaching writing, photography, videography and social media skills are included in college curriculum.
