Silver Stars hosts a carwash fundraiser

The Silver Stars held a car wash on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 12:30 p.m.- 4 p.m. All donations went towards competition fees and costumes that are needed for competitions.

Senior captain Amanda Morgan was surprised at the number of people who came to the car wash.

“It’s been good. I didn’t expect us to have this many people come. It’s been a good turnout,” Morgan said.

The set-up at the carwash was efficient for the dance team. One group of dance members would clean the car with car soap. Cars would then move up to a power wash and then another group of dance members would dry off the car with paper towels.

Sophomore dance member Brittany Rouse was happy with the results that they had got from the carwash.

“It has been fantastic. We made a lot of money.” Rouse said.

The Silver Stars earned $897.
