New QuikTrip brings excitement to students

The sounds of the cup popping, the ice churning and the drink machine fizzing rang through the QuikTrip as sophomore Delany Wise fills up her usual 52 oz. Mountain Dew Code Red. QuikTrip opened in July and has become a hot spot for many students before games, after practices, or just anytime they have a spare $ .99 for their favorite soda.

“I like to go when I’m with my friends,” Wise said. “They have money so I don’t have to pay for other people.”

Junior CJ Beran began working at QuikTrip four and a half months ago and enjoys his time there.

“[QuikTrip offers] good pay, I get benefits and bonuses and they are really flexible with my schedule,” Beran said. “I get free drinks [as well].”

Wise said that the addition of the QuikTrip has brought many great things to the community.

“[It has a] positive impact on our community because it brings our community and other communities closer,” Wise said. “It is such a nice facility.”
