Senior Isabella Loya shares her interests, insight on this year's Homecoming and plans for the future

Mill Valley News: Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Isabella Loya: I am currently a senior here at mill valley. I am a part of the Mill Valley tennis and soccer team. I’m Involved in the NHS and NEHS clubs. I also am in JLC and SLT and enjoy hanging out with my friends and family on the weekends.

MVN: What are you looking forward to most about homecoming and this school year?

IL: My friends and I are trying to do our own Foco (fake homecoming) so I am excited for that, but I also love the tradition of Blue Bomb and I hope when COVID clears up a bit all the seniors can still participate in that.

MVN: How many homecomings have you attended?

IL: I have attended every homecoming.

MVN: Despite all the changes to homecoming due to COVID-19 are you excited that the school is still trying to keep the tradition?

IL: Yes, I love that they are still trying to make this year more positive despite the negative. And I think just as a senior I didn’t realize how much I wanted to do Powderpuff or experience one more homecoming until it wasn’t an option, so I am glad the school is working hard to try and make this year memorable.

MVN: Where do you plan to attend college?

I am still undecided on where I want to go, but I would say I am leaning towards [the University of Kansas] or [Grand Canyon University].

MVN: What do you plan to major in?

IL: I want to major in pre-dentistry.
