Girls soccer team wins its eighth game in a row

The girls soccer team played the Gardner-Edgerton Blazers Tuesday, April 24 and won 2-0. This game sets the team’s record to 9-1 and sets their win streak to eight games.

“I’m very excited and I hope we can continue it, but we might run into a few bumps on the way,” junior Bri Franklin said.

Senior Kelsey Wakefield and junior Kayla Hamner both contributed one of the team’s two goals in the victory against the Blazers.

“It was a good game by both teams, the team worked together to score two goals,” Wakefield said. “We had a lot of opportunities and we need to work on finishing.”

The team looks to extend its win streak to nine games against the Blue Valley Southwest Timberwolves at home on Wednesday, April 25.
