“Grey’s Anatomy” isn’t just about doctors, it’s about the characters and how much of an impact they make on the audience. To paint a better picture, let’s go back to the night of April 23, 2015. Many girls had put on their snapchat stories, “RIP” or “RIP McDreamy,” some were even in tears over this and I became curious. The following day, I had watched the episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” from the night before and it was emotional to say the least. Little did I know, I would become so attached to this show, I would be crying that same episode a few months later.

“Grey’s Anatomy” is an amazing show full of drama, action on the rare occasions and some comedy slips in. It’s about this surgical intern named Meredith Grey and it follows her life as she gets higher in position at the hospital. She becomes friends with some very unlikely people and falls in love with the one and only dreamboat named Derek Shepherd, a.k.a. McDreamy.

The show takes place in the surgical wing of Seattle Grace Hospital in Seattle, WA. Some episodes involve the emergency room and those are the ones to watch. They do get some very extraordinary cases such as two people impaled by the same pole, a man with a live bomb in his chest, a pregnant man and there was even a guy that was stuck in concrete. What makes this show super unique is the writers of “Grey’s Anatomy” do research on different cases that could happen or have happened to people in real life and they put them in the show. I think that’s super cool and very different from any other show.

This show is quite the time commitment because there are now 13 seasons with around 20-24 episodes per season. It’s by far the most emotionally wrecking show I’ve ever seen. There are a lot of deaths that happen so get your tissues ready if you’re the one to cry.

For how long the show has been on TV, it is definitely worth watching. There is love, friendship, drama, some action and of course, blood in almost every episode. I have a particularly weak stomach when it comes to blood and bones popping out but this show really isn’t that bad once you see the worst of the worst. By that, I mean giant tumors, blood squirting out of someone’s neck, things of that nature. It’s a fantastic show to watch and it’s my favorite by far. It’s 100 percent worth the time spent on it. No time is wasted when you’re watching “Grey’s Anatomy.”

See you next time!
