Class Cup Activity of the Week for Dec. 3-Dec. 7

Class Cup Activity of the Week for Dec. 3-Dec. 7

The Class Cup Activity for the week of Dec. 3-Dec. 7 is to follow @millvalleynews on Twitter. The class with the highest percentage of people following the account at the end of the week will receive Class Cup points. Students who were following the account before Dec. 3 will be considered in the total.

Senior Mackenzie Eckman, the arts & entertainment and social media editor for the JagWire newspaper, is the head of the Twitter account. According to Eckman, the newspaper staff will be putting up links to stories on their website and will be tweeting from basketball games and upcoming sporting events.

“We want people to be informed and [following us on Twitter] is a fast and easy way to keep up with what’s going on,” Eckman said.

Eckman said she thinks that having this as the activity of the week will help the account gain followers.

“Everyone in the entire school follows the class competition; they all want their class to win,” Eckman said.

In addition to the Activity of the Week, points can be earned from the “Adopt-a-Family”  fundraiser. From Dec. 3-Dec. 11, students can donate change to the coin drive and the money raised will be used to buy Christmas gifts for two families. The winning class will receive five points towards the Class Cup.
