The boys soccer team hosted its home opener Monday, Aug. 27 against Blue Valley High School. By the end of the first period the score was 0-1 Blue Valley.

During the second period Blue Valley scored their second goal. The game ended with a score of 0-2 Blue Valley.

Senior right mid-fielder Hugh Ebb believes the home opener went well but thinks the team’s offense could have played better.

“I thought we played well [last night] considering it was our first game,” Ebb said. “We were missing a key part: goal scoring. I think we could have beaten them with the opportunities we had, we just didn’t shoot the ball.”

Ebb is hopeful for this season because there are only three changes to the line-up.

“Our line-up is basically the same as last season and I think it’ll be interesting to see how we grow after this game,” Ebb said. “I think this season will be really good and I think we have a legitimate chance to win league.”
