Over the next few weeks, practices will be taking place to prepare for a school lip dub intended to showcase all school activities and school spirit.

The idea was generated by several of Broadcast teacher Cindy Swartz’s students later last year, and she recommended that they wait until this year.

The video will be set to the song “The Time” by the Black Eyed Peas and will include all activities and sports, as well as shots of the entire school at the pep assembly on Friday, Nov. 9. Also, two cameras will be filming simultaneously for a split-screen effect in the video.

Swartz hopes that the video succeeds in showcasing the school’s overall spirit.

“Most lip dubs, if you go on YouTube and watch different schools’ lip dubs, they are mostly just to show school spirit and they show how creative and lively their school is,” Swartz said.

Senior Danielle Jenkins is one of the students involved with organizing and editing the video.

“[We want] to promote school spirit,” Jenkins said. “We want people to have something to be excited about.”
